PROJECT OVERVIEW
Conceptualized a high-tech, immersive mobile ad experience designed to bridge gameplay mechanics with cinematic Star Wars lore. The creative strategy shifts focus away from standard flat UI, grounding squad building within a diegetic holographic projector where bounty hunters and villains materialize dynamically in 3D space.
Core Concept
-
Tactical Holographic Roster Selection: The project centers around a vertical mobile showcase highlighting a holo-projector interface where players cycle through a squad of iconic bounty hunters/villains (Embo, Cad Bane, Boba Fett, and others).
-
Dynamic Character Reveal: Positions character collection and squad customization as a high-tech, interactive experience, seamlessly bridging cinematic character modeling with mobile UI mechanics.
Art Direction
-
High-Contrast Dark Sci-Fi Aesthetic: Set against a dark, industrial interior, allowing glowing light assets and energy effects to cut dramatically across the frame.
-
Symmetrical & Vertical Framing: Tailored specifically for 9:16 portrait orientation (mobile ads/App Store showcase), placing the character centrally atop a detailed sci-Fi pedestal.
-
Diegetic UI Integration: The character carousel and hologram projector are framed as physical in-universe technology rather than flat, non-diegetic overlays.
Brand Colors & Usage
-
Dark Side Red (#E80001)
-
Usage: Glowing hologram base emissions, character selection highlight frames, directional navigation arrows, and particle effects.
-
Purpose: Establishes a menacing Dark Side / Bounty Hunter faction theme and commands immediate visual focus.
-
-
Neutral Dark Base (#000000 / Deep Charcoal)
-
Usage: Physical pedestal control unit and background environment backdrop.
-
Purpose: Provides a high-contrast, neutral foundation so character lighting and red energy bursts pop off the screen.
-
-
Branded White (#FFFFFF)
-
Usage: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and EA logos anchored cleanly in the upper-left corner.
-
Purpose: Ensures high-legibility brand recognition and publisher authority without cluttering the central motion graphics space.
-
Marketing Strategy
-
Instant IP & Character Recognition: Placing recognizable characters front-and-center captures fan attention immediately without requiring dialogue.
-
Roster Depth & Collectibility: The top carousel UI signals squad-building mechanics and broad roster selection, driving excitement for character unlocking and progression.
Shot Breakdown
-
Initial Holographic Projector Activation
-
Visual: The metallic control base lights up red at the bottom of the screen, projecting a bright holographic grid and vertical energy beams onto the holo-table, casting dynamic atmospheric red light across the surrounding game environment.
-
-
Character Materialization
-
Visual: Particle dust condenses as a character materializes atop the pedestal in full 3D detail, striking a hero action pose. Holographic scan lines pass over the character during browsing, locking into a solid, vibrant energy glow once selected.
-
-
Roster Carousel Navigation
-
Visual: The top-anchored UI carousel highlights the active character icon framed in a glowing red box, while side arrows pulse to demonstrate interactive squad switching.
-
-
Confirmed Selection & Seamless Transition
-
Visual: As soon as the final squad slot is filled, the last selected character leaps straight into the active battle scene via a smooth, match-cut transition—reinforcing core gameplay progression and immediate action.
-
VFX & Technical Breakdown
-
Volumetric Light & Energy Rays: High-intensity red light projected upward from the pedestal using volumetric light passes to create depth.
-
Hologram Grid & Particle Emission: Interactive particle emitter systems and light-pass extractions combined with alpha channel rendering for realistic hologram beam physics.
-
Unity & After Effects Compositing Workflow: 3D character animations and camera passes extracted directly from Unity, then composited with motion graphics overlays, glowing UI elements, and color grading in Adobe After Effects.
